The Growth Project

Sowing the seed of sustainability

Free Food Store + more!

COMING SOON

We are a brand new project within The Sherriff Centre, called The Growth Project. With a start up grant from the Edward Harvest fund, our remit is to set up a project to meet the needs of people at highest risk of food instability through a sustainable model.

OUR CORE AIMS

  • Reduce Food Waste
  • Reduce Food Poverty
  • Inform about sustainable food choices

TAKE WHAT YOU NEED

GIVE WHAT YOU CAN

OUR SUPPORTERS

  • Gail's Bakery
  • Marks & Spencer
  • Waitrose
  • Tesco
  • Fareshare
  • Neighbourly

Our store will be stocked with ingredients that will make a hearty, healthy meal for anyone in our community who needs it

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS

We're always looking for committed members of the community to pick-up and drop-off donations from local supermarkets and bakeries. Please get in touch if you're able to volunteer with us on a weekly basis. A car is desirable for some larger collections.

WE HOPE TO STOCK

  • Fresh Fruit & Vegetables
  • Bread & Pastries
  • Tins & Dry Food
  • Store Cupboard Ingredients

No-one should feel excluded from having healthy choices

It's important to us that anyone who is in need, can still make healthy choices and have options to choose or learn about sustainability
