Jane is our Centre Director. She is responsible for the strategic direction and development of the business and charity, finances and overseeing staff management. Jane has been a part of The Sherriff Centre since 2012, when she worked on the project planning, fundraising and set-up team with former vicar of St James, Father Andrew Cain. Jane remained on at The Sherriff Centre, stepping into the busy role of Centre Manager when we opened our doors in the summer of 2014. Jane took some much needed time off at the end of 2018 and returned to a new role, as Centre Director in January 2019. "Something different and exciting happens here every day, it’s always full of life even when it’s quiet. Our staff make me smile and there’s usually a new idea we’re kicking around or thinking about to keep things interesting. Being part of The Sherriff Centre is an incredible experience - it’s fun, rewarding and challenging but never, ever dull".
Steph is our Centre Manager, she oversees the day-to-day operations of the centre, social media and events. You’ll often find her around the centre, chatting with staff and customers, setting up for an event or fixing something! Steph has been a part of The Sherriff Centre team since 2017 when she started her role as Deputy Manager. She stepped up to the role of Centre Manager in the summer of 2018. She has set-up a number of new projects including our weekly Additional Needs Play and Suspended Coffee Scheme - plus some evening events including Free Play Friday and Sofar Sounds. "I really enjoy working at The Sherrif Centre, it's such a unique place and something I am very proud to be a part of. There is a beautiful and gradual flow throughout the week of different people using the centre for different reasons. Some come for the quiet and others for the noise! Some come to be alone, others to meet friends. Some come to work while children play. We're open for the early birds at 8am on a Monday morning, and those that that enjoy a glass of wine and live music at 10pm on a Saturday night".
Hullabaloo + Party Coordinator
Tracy is our Hullabaloo + Party Host Coordinator. She oversees the day-to-day operations of Hullabaloo and deals with all party enquiries, bookings and aftercare. Tracy has been a part of The Sherriff Centre team since 2015. Tracy knows everyone by name, but if she's forgotten yours, she'll make sure she knows it for next time! She is the life and soul of Hullabaloo and the children love her - even when she enforces the rules! "My favourite things about working at The Sherriff Centre are the customers and the staff, but most of all the children. My best and favourite memories are of the start of half term when the centre is crazy busy! There are children and adults everywhere. The best way to describe this, and the annual Christmas Panto, is 'organised chaos'."
Post Office Manager
Hits is our Post Office Manager, and oversees the day-to-day management of the Post Office. He has been working with us at West Hampstead's Post Office since we opened in our new location, here at The Sherriff Centre in 2014.
Post Office Staff
Christine has been with us since early 2019. She manages the stationery shop and keeps the Post Office tidy and organised. She is friends with everyone - you're likely to see her helping out around the centre when the Post Office is quiet, chatting with customers.

Hajar joined our team in 2017 and has now worked in every department at The Sherriff Centre. She began as a Hullabaloo Party Host, then moved on to Weekend Supervisor; followed by time in the cafe and now she's working in the Post Office!
